We are currently recruiting for HGV Technicians to join our shift teams in Huyton. The role of the HGV Technician is to carry out all aspects of maintenance, including servicing, inspection, repairs, MOT preparation, breakdowns, diagnosis and any other workshop related task that could be reasonably expected.

Candidates must have to be able to carry out the following:

•Servicing and repair of equipment to MOT standard.

•A high level of understanding of Legal Compliance and standards of Roadworthiness.

•Ensure workshop tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner to the required standard.

•Ability to work unsupervised with a high level of self-motivation.

•Awareness of authorisation procedures regarding required repairs.

•Completion of inspection documents and job sheets/timesheets to the highest standard.

•Strong commitment to health and safety.

•Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and employees of all levels is essential, as are a 'can do attitude' and problem solving skills.

It’s essential for this role that you are a qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician, preferably level 3 but not essential. Previous main dealer experience and an HGV licence would be an advantage.

Hours of work, on an alternating basis are;

• 06:00 – 14:30 Monday – Friday
• 13:30 – 22:00 Monday – Friday

Both shifts are inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break and two paid 15 minute breaks
